Some highlight moments
Every chapter has played a part —
These moments mark the journey that turned dedication into Toros Jewellery founded in 2023.
The Beginning
An Unexpected Beginning
I originally planned to study graphic design, but I was accidentally assigned to jewellery design.
The first time I walked into the workshop and saw jewellers working with metal, fire, and traditional tools, something inside me shifted. I immediately knew this was where I belonged.
That unexpected moment became the beginning of my journey into jewellery making.

The Journey to Toros Jewellery
My journey with jewellery began long before Toros Jewellery officially launched. It started with a love for creating and working with my hands, selling pieces at weekend markets between 2015 and 2017 and discovering how meaningful jewellery can be when it connects with people.
Over the years, important moments helped shape the path — from being recognised at the Anglo American PlatAfrica Awards in 2019 to sharing my knowledge as a part-time lecturer at Stellenbosch between 2020 and 2024.
In 2021, I built my first jeweller’s bench, marking the beginning of my own workspace and a step toward independence. After years of refining ideas and planning the business, Toros Jewellery was officially founded in 2023.
Since then, the journey has continued to grow — from the first packaging and photoshoot to studio renovations and attending international industry events such as the Jewellery Couture Show in Las Vegas.
Each moment represents a step forward in building Toros Jewellery into what it is today: a brand rooted in craftsmanship, dedication, and jewellery that is uniquely personal.
